Running your first campaign

From discount code to first sale.

Built-in tools for discount codes, abandoned-cart recovery, and email blasts — without third-party apps.

01

Pick your campaign goal

Three common ones: drive first-time orders (welcome discount), recover abandoned carts (auto-email), or push slow inventory (flash sale).

02

Create a discount code

Settings → Discounts → New Code. Set the code (e.g. WELCOME10), type (percentage or flat), value, minimum order amount, and expiry date.

  • Single-use or unlimited
  • Per-customer caps
  • Specific products / categories only
03

Promote on the storefront

Add an announcement bar (Theme editor → Header → Announcement). Or place a banner on the homepage hero with the code visible. Pin a popup for first-time visitors.

04

Email the code to your list

Customers tab → select all → Send email. Use the Campaign template (subject, body, CTA). Add a UTM tag so you can measure clicks back.

05

Abandoned-cart recovery (auto)

Settings → Automations → Abandoned Cart. Enable it. Customers who added to cart but didn't checkout get an email after 1 hour reminding them, with a recovery link.

06

Track results

Analytics → Campaigns shows orders attributed to each discount code. The Funnel view tells you visit → add-to-cart → checkout → purchase rates per campaign.
